In 2080, lists are used to segment tasks by topic. Often this will be a project: on outcome that requires more than one task to be achieved, or a focus area like “House” for any tasks that relate to housekeeping.
Your first and default list is the “Inbox”, which is used for quickly capturing new rough drafts of tasks. We don’t want to pressure you into neatly organizing everything when you just want to quickly do a brain dump, so this placeholder list serves as a place to go into later for processing.
You can create a new list by navigating to the “Lists” section on the left, then pressing “New List”.
This prompts a popup window, allowing you to name your list and create it.
Pressing the gear symbol to the left of any list allows you to edit it.
From here, you can add an emoji or image to visually signify what your list is about, as well as edit its name or even delete it. Note that deleting a list will also remove its contents, so be sure to move your tasks first if you want to preserve them.
Press “Update List” to finalize your changes.
