💬 Feedback from first testing round
Our first alpha release was available during the last 3 weeks of 2023, with over 100 people signing up to test it and leave feedback. Thank you!
Your feedback has been extensive, and extremely valuable. Ranging from specific details like switching between multi- & single-selecting filters up to broad points like making the app mobile-friendly, we’ve learned so much.
This feedback, combined with the feedback from our extensive round of interviews has given us the confidence we’re on the right path for building a game-changing productivity app. We’ve successfully simplified and refined lots of elements that were tested in the first alpha release.
👁️ Feature highlight: Focus Mode
Most productivity apps out there currently support you with planning & organizing your life. However, they fall short when it comes to helping you actually execute on important action items. Previously, you learned how we’re addressing this first by implementing automated completion statuses which you were able to test in the previous testing round.
Now that we’re applying the finishing touches to this automated completion status, we’ve built something which delivers such an obvious benefit that once you see it, you won’t want to do without any longer. It’s called Focus Mode, and the concept is extremely simple, but not any less powerful.
What switching from Planning Mode to Focus Mode currently looks like. Note that this is not the final version in any way and it looks a bit clunky, but it communicates the idea of removing the clutter you don’t need to see when you want to take action.
Building on top of the idea of automated completion statuses, you can now press a button to switch from Planning Mode which has all options, features and details, to Focus Mode.
Switching to Focus hides everything from view, except your list of available tasks, labels to filter in available tasks, a quick add button for new input, and essential account settings. We believe removing any non-actionable clutter will help combat distraction, perfectionism and the urge to constantly ‘perfect’ your system instead of things done – an issue many of you have told us about during our interviews.

Focus Mode is not the only feature we’ve worked on, and you’ll soon have a chance to test it all as we’re gearing up for a second alpha release.
