Built by someone who's been there
2080 was created by Lucas Prigge — a productivity educator trusted by thousands of professionals to help them do their best work.
Who I am
I'm Lucas Prigge — a tech founder, online educator, and RevOps specialist based in the Netherlands. Over the past decade I've built companies, coached thousands of knowledge workers, and obsessed over how software can help people do their best work.
Through my YouTube channel and online courses, I've helped thousands of professionals take control of their task management and productivity systems — earning recognition as the #1 TickTick expert worldwide.
A decade in the industry
I've spent over 10 years working in tech — from founding startups and speaking at WordCamp Europe, to building revenue operations and sales processes for international companies. I've worked hands-on with WordPress, CRMs, and SaaS tools of every kind.
That experience showed me something: most productivity software is built for the company selling it, not the person using it. Subscriptions keep you locked in. Cloud storage lets them monetize your data. Features pile up to justify the next billing cycle.
Why I built 2080
After years of reviewing, teaching, and recommending productivity apps, I kept running into the same frustrations — even with the tools I loved. Too much manual organization. Too many features fighting for attention. And always, a subscription model that put the company's interests ahead of mine.
I wanted a task manager that did the thinking for me: one that automatically tracks what's ready, what's blocked, and what's scheduled — so I could spend less time organizing and more time doing. When I couldn't find it, I built it.
The name "2080" comes from the Pareto Principle: 20% of your effort drives 80% of your results. The app is designed around that idea — helping you focus on the work that actually matters.
The principles behind 2080
Your data lives on your machine. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking.
One purchase, no subscriptions. The incentive is to build something good — not something sticky.
Task statuses update automatically based on dependencies, dates, and assignments. You never set a status manually.
Every feature earns its place. No feature bloat, no dark patterns, no artificial complexity.
